Industrial hygiene provides the necessary tools for the identification, evaluation and control of risk factors in the workplace. It aims to identify, monitor and evaluate, qualitatively and quantitatively, the possible health risks both in industrial and in living environments and provides guidelines and operational indications for the adoption of collective prevention disposal or personal protective equipment.
The activities carried out by our staff provide an advisory service that can process and schedule a proper evaluation and risk management strategy by identifying emission sources, assessing the exposure of workers, designing and implementing preventive and protective measures to ensure the maintenance of acceptable exposure conditions, training and information about the different risk factors and measures of protection and prevention.
The proficiency and competence of the staff, combined with the availability of advanced instrumentation, provide the ability to perform hygiene and environmental investigations for the evaluation of the following risk factors:
- Hazardous chemicals and carcinogenic substances (metals, solvents, pesticides, antineoplastic drugs, etc.);
- Airborne Particulate (inhalable, thoracic, breathable and nano-metric fraction);
- Noise;
- Vibration transmitted to the hand-arm system and whole-body vibration;
- Thermal Comfort and heat-stress;
- Evaluation of ergonomic video terminal workstations;
- Manual handling of loads;
- Repetitive movements of the upper limbs;
- Ergonomics;
- Electromagnetic fields;
- Artificial optical radiation.
Our system is certified according to the ISO 9001:2008 standard
